The contaminated soils sector discusses the challenges to be faced at the ARC conference

Litoclean participates in the meeting organized by the Agència de Residus de Catalunya (Waste Agency of Catalonia).

The Agència de Residus de Catalunya organizes a conference on soil contamination with the aim of presenting the latest developments in the sector and discussing solutions to current and future challenges.

This event, which held its IV edition on November 20 and 21, brings together the main companies specializing in soil investigation and remediation, such as Litoclean, research centers and universities and the Administration, making it an exceptional scenario for exchanging knowledge and points of view and working hand in hand to continue advancing.

Litoclean has had a double role in this edition of the conference. Marçal Bosch, director of Litoclean, gave a presentation on the application of phytoremediation techniques and their relationship with biofuel production, a pioneering experience based on the company’s work in the European Phy2climate project. The search for methodologies that cause the least impact on the environment has been one of the central themes of the sessions, as Bosch explains: “Soil remediation is increasingly looking for sustainable processes and our company is a benchmark in this area thanks to our strong commitment to R&D&I”. For this, collaboration with other multidisciplinary teams is essential, as in the case of Phy2climate, in which Litoclean works side by side with entities, institutes and companies from different countries. “This type of alliance not only enriches the outcome of the project, but also the joint progress towards better solutions,” Bosch emphasizes.

In addition to this presentation, Begoña Mundó, CEO of Litoclean, was the moderator of the block dedicated to PFAS. “I thank the Agència de Residus de Catalunya for organizing this type of events so relevant and interesting for our sector and for always counting on our company,” Mundó emphasized.
