The Spanish consulting firm celebrates the commitment of the entire workforce to follow the guidelines of the non-sexist communication manual.
In September 2021, the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce launched the first non-sexist communication manual prepared by Grupo Tema Litoclean with the collaboration of ODEE (Observatori Dona Economia i Empresa), an agile and practical document that aims to help everyone to use non-sexist language in the professional and work environment.
After a year of implementation, we wanted to evaluate its implementation in the company. To this end, they have developed an evaluation methodology by means of which randomly selected documents from different departments have been analyzed, specifically, human resources, administration, sales, marketing, technical and quality. The results have been very positive, detecting a high percentage of implementation of the guidelines suggested in the manual to create documents with non-sexist language.
The management of the business group and the committee formed for the creation of the manual celebrate its success and the commitment of the workforce, as well as the transformation that it entails, both in terms of habits and in terms of thinking and positioning. This is an action aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, number 5 of which includes the promotion of gender equality, the fight against all types of discrimination against women and the promotion of the full and effective participation of women in political, economic and public life, as well as equal opportunities for leadership.
