On November 23 and 24, 2015, the Latin American Network on Prevention and Management of Contaminated Sites coordinated the Seminar “Contaminated Sites and Mining” attended by the Litoclean Group delegation in Peru.
Participants representing the different countries that are part of the network (Mexico, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Uruguay and Argentina) and belonging to both the public and private sectors shared presentations on cases of contaminated land in the mining industry.
During these presentations there was an enriching exchange of experience and know-how on the remediation of contaminated sites and the different approaches and tools used for their resolution at each site.
One of the aspects that attracted most attention was the legal aspect and its current weaknesses. The administration authorities of each country represented expressed their interest in facing the great challenge of achieving a developed regulatory framework to address this environmental issue.
On this occasion, the headquarters of the Tema Litoclean Group in Peru, TEMA SAC, actively participated in the event. The Group is committed to achieve a greater presence in the activities organized by ReLASC in the region in order to establish itself as a reference company in each of the member countries.
