Peru Remedia highlights the importance of environmental remediation

Litoclean Peru participated in the Profonanpe event with a presentation on its experiences in the field.

Profonanpe, Peru’s most important environmental fund, has organized an event called Peru Remedia, in which representatives of federations, the State and environmental remediation experts from different countries have met with the aim of exchanging knowledge on how to incorporate environmental remediation as a priority issue in the country’s agenda.

Litoclean participated in this conference by sharing a regional experience in the development of remediation plans, a presentation given by Sergio Biedula, manager of environment, contaminated soils and remediation of the company in Peru.

In addition to the report of professionals from the sector, the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) and native communities of the Peruvian Amazon affected by these environmental liabilities participated in the event. The Ministry stated that Peru has 3,231 environmental liabilities generated by hydrocarbons, 152 of which are high risk, which shows the need to address the problem as a priority issue.

From Litoclean Peru we will continue working and contributing our knowledge to improve the situation of our surroundings and preserve the environment,” says Sergio Biedula.
