Reinforcing our commitment to this day, we have signed the European Union Mission Soil Manifesto.
Every December 5th, we celebrate World Soil Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness and informing society about the importance of our soils to promote sustainable ecosystems and combat climate change.
This year’s motto, “Caring for Soils: Measure, Monitor, and Manage,” aligns closely with the work we do and with the goals of the Soil Mission Manifesto (“A Soil Deal for Europe”), an initiative by the European Union to which we have committed. By signing it, we reaffirm our concern for the future of European and global soils, as well as our commitment to improving their health.
The Soil Mission undertakes an ambitious research and innovation program, advances soil monitoring across the EU, and increases public engagement in its protection and restoration. It is founded on principles that recognize soils as essential for human life and nature. When healthy, soils provide clean water and air, capture carbon to mitigate climate change, enhance adaptation capacities, and promote biodiversity. In line with this, the manifesto emphasizes the need to protect and restore soils—a fragile resource that must be carefully managed and preserved for future generations. Their protection and restoration must be integrated into all human activities that impact the land.

Innovation for Sustainable Solutions
Our commitment to respecting and restoring soil quality dates back many years, as evidenced by the certifications, accreditations, and authorizations that validate their quality.
Since 2006, we have been an accredited company in Spain for conducting site assessment reports, monitoring and controlling decontamination processes, and verifying/certifying decontamination efforts in soils and groundwater. In 2018, we expanded this accreditation to include quantitative risk analysis. Today, we also hold accreditation for soil gas studies, along with expertise in waste characterization, as well as control and monitoring during the operational and maintenance phases of landfills.
To optimize decontamination solutions and ensure they are environmentally friendly, we develop responses perfectly tailored to each site. This is made possible thanks to our innovation center, which includes a pilot testing laboratory.
Transforming waste into valuable resources
The soil vector is so central to our work that we operate a treatment and recovery plant, transforming waste into valuable resources through the implementation of cutting-edge technology. Not only do we significantly reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills, but we also enhance soil quality and the natural environment.
We view this process as a cycle in which measuring, monitoring, and managing are fundamental steps. Through measurements and monitoring conducted using certified methodologies, combined with careful restoration, we value soils as essential resources for life. We firmly believe that caring for them is equivalent to securing a more sustainable future.
