First edition of the international mentoring program comes to an end
Litoclean joined the initiative launched in early 2023 by ITRC (Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council) and was part of the 1st edition of the Early Career Professionals (ECP) Program.
The idea of this year-long international mentoring program is to build bridges between people with a long track record in the sector and the new generations entering the labor market. This is achieved by capitalizing on expert experience, accelerating the transfer of knowledge to new talent and facilitating their integration into work teams.
In this first edition, Litoclean has joined the proposal in two modalities: with a mentor (Juan Herrera) and a mentor (Sonia Baluk).
Juan was accompanied by Steven Forrester, from the Department of Environmental Quality Control of the State of Louisiana (USA), and Paige LaPlant, an American geologist from Iowa, was mentored by Sonia.
Both pairs shared spaces for the exchange of experiences and visions from different stages of their professional careers and from different parts of the world.
The program also offered mentees a platform to facilitate the generation of a network of contacts.
This type of dynamics nurtures the actions carried out by Litoclean within the framework of its diversity, equity and inclusion policies. At the same time, talents are attracted, retained and developed, skills are recognized, experience is capitalized and inter- and intra-generational interactions are strengthened. In all respects, the balance of participation in the 1st edition of the ECP can only be positive.
