The project confirms the state-owned oil company’s confidence in TEMA in its efforts to manage its operations in a sustainable manner
LITOCLEAN has been awarded a contract extension with one of Peru’s most important state-owned companies, Petroperu. The work will consist of identifying contaminated sites in hydrocarbon transport, refining, distribution and commercialization operations. The analysis of soil and water affected by possible fuel spills ensures that the supply of oil throughout this Andean country is carried out with the least negative impact on the environment.
LITOCLEAN’s research is carried out in remediated areas in the Norperuvian Pipeline, a vast facility that transports oil and its derivatives over long distances. The pipelines stretch for more than 1,000 kilometers and cross the coast, the Andes Mountains and the Amazon jungle.
Field work is focused on flood zones. These are remote locations, accessible only on foot or by boat. The initial phase of the work lasted 32 days and was successfully consolidated, confirming LITOCLEAN’s ability to operate in this type of environment, which involves complex logistical activity.
