LITOCLEAN Peru offers a course on Contaminated Site Management

The National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy organizes the three-day workshop for environmental professionals and technicians.

On May 14, 15 and 16, LITOCLEAN Peru will give a course on the most relevant considerations of Contaminated Sites Management, organized by the National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy. The course will review the most relevant aspects of the current regulatory framework in Peru and will provide a practical approach based on real cases.

The workshop will be attended by Albert Tasías Francí, Carlos Santana and Sergio Biedula, experts in contaminated site management and remediation from the TEMA-LITOCLEAN group. The sessions will be divided into three modules and will focus on the first day on reviewing the regulatory requirements and understanding the concept and processes of soil contamination, the associated risks and their relationship with groundwater. The second module will address soil characterization and sampling methodology and the third and final module will address site remediation, with special emphasis on Health and Environmental Risk Assessment, with practical examples on decontamination.

The course is aimed at professionals and technicians in the environmental area of companies in the mining, hydrocarbons, energy and services sectors who want to deepen their knowledge of the new Environmental Quality Standard for Soil, preparing for the next phases of implementation of the standard.
