Litoclean updates its portable heavy metal detection equipment. An essential tool for soil analysis.
Litoclean is once again committed to new technologies and has acquired the latest tools in the sector for soil analysis. It has recently integrated the XRF detector, a portable analyzer with a wide range of heavy metals, into its work equipment. The analyzer allows the identification of alloy grades and pure metals quickly and with absolute precision.
The XRF detector configuration allows accurate detection of materials and provides information on their chemical composition, including aluminum alloys, cobalt, magnesium, nickel, titanium, etc. It is an X-ray fluorescence analyzer with an accuracy of parts per million. That is, the emission of secondary X-rays.
This innovative equipment significantly increases performance in selective environmental investigations and excavations where heavy metals are present, eliminating waiting times for laboratory results. Mainly because the analysis of all metals is carried out in a single reading, in a non-destructive way, and the preparation of the sample in the field is simple, the most relevant aspect being the homogenization of the sample. In addition, the integration of the results with their spatial location or with the statistical management software facilitates in a clear and unequivocal way the decision making process.
Litoclean is based on the 6200 methodology published by USEPA for field handling and management of analytical results. These are obtained directly through the equipment’s control software, which is operated from a laptop computer. Litoclean has also integrated a workstation that allows the analyzer to be operated with total guarantee of safety and in compliance with radioactive equipment regulations.
