The CEO of TEMA LITOCLEAN Group was interviewed in the program En directe a Ràdio 4.
On the occasion of the celebration of International Women’s Day, the program En directe a Ràdio 4 of Radio Nacional de España spoke with Begoña Mundó, CEO of the TEMA LITOCLEAN Group, about the role of women in management positions.
According to the report ‘Women In Business’, by the consulting firm Grant Thornton, reveals that only 34% of management positions in Spain are held by women. At TEMA LITOCLEAN these figures increase to 53% of women in decision-making positions, starting with its CEO. The total number of women in the group’s workforce is 44%, a figure much higher than the female representation in university degrees in chemical, physical and geological sciences and engineering, the training of the bulk of workers in both companies, which does not reach 30%.
These data make TEMA LITOCLEAN a peculiar case in a very masculinized sector, as was recognized in the radio program. The presenter of the program, Olga Rodríguez, highlighted Mundó’s role as a winner in a universe of men and wanted to know her experience as a woman manager in these scenarios. Anna Mercadé, Director of the Women’s Observatory of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, also participated in the talk. Both agreed on the importance of reflecting and becoming aware of the importance of working for equality.
