Litoclean is developing wastewater treatment projects applying techniques based on tree species irrigation.
The Confederación Hidrográfica del Tajo has approved the Green Filter Construction Project developed by LITOCLEAN for the treatment of wastewater in various industrial facilities. The wastewater treatment in these cases is based on the partial evaporation of the wastewater and the capture of the rest by the roots of the plantations.
This treatment system achieves two main objectives: purification of the discharge and forest growth for potential timber exploitation.
Construction work has already begun on the purification facilities, which will consist of a plot where Populus alba trees will be planted, which will be irrigated with wastewater from the activities.
