LITOCLEAN has participated in the report entitled ‘Soils with memory’ as experts in remediation.
The legendary TVE program Escarabajo Verde, dedicated to environmental issues, broadcasted on November 20 a report on soil contamination entitled ‘Suelos con memoria’ (Soils with memory) with the participation of LITOCLEAN.
The program focused on the historical pollution resulting from a past industrialization that marked the twentieth century and left a footprint that still remains in the soil of towns and cities and talked to different experts on the effects of this pollution. The TVE team also traveled to Sant Adrià del Besòs, a Catalan municipality with a long industrial tradition that now struggles to reconvert and adapt to new environmental challenges, but still retains the imprint of this past industrialization.
Once the problem and its consequences were exposed, the report dealt with the process of soil and groundwater remediation, for which it counted on the expert voice of the director of LITOCLEAN, Marçal Bosch, who also spoke about the sustainable remediation techniques that stand out in the sector, such as bioremediation or phytoremediation.
The complete program is available on the RTVE a la carte website.
