The consultancy has received the second prize in the category ‘Companies with Best Safety Performance and Results’ 2019.
This Monday, September 28, Repsol presented the 2019 Safety Awards in a virtual event, due to COVID-19. In it, the work of LITOCLEAN in safety matters has been recognized, awarding it the second prize in the category ‘Companies with Best Behavior and Results in Safety’. This award is preceded by a process of analysis by the oil company of LITOCLEAN’s systems in this area, from a documentary audit to field visits.
During the virtual ceremony, the videos sent by the award winners with their messages of thanks were played. Javier Cortón, Project Manager of LITOCLEAN, has positively valued the participation in the program: “It has been an opportunity to identify improvement points in our safety management system, as well as to value the measures we already adopted and that have been praised by Repsol”.
Anna Almirall, Head of Quality, Environment and Safety at LITOCLEAN, was also proud, especially “because the award comes from a leading company in terms of safety”. Almirall has detailed the improvements in the procedures that the company has implemented as a result of its participation in the program: “We have increased the frequency of the meetings and we have made all the personnel participate in them to explain experiences in the field that can help us to improve prevention”. He also thanked the contractor companies for their willingness to understand that safety is a priority in all projects and emphasized that they have been “with a zero accident rate” for years , which continues to be their objective year after year.
LITOCLEAN has donated the monetary value of the award to the Red Cross Responds to COVID-19 program, which works for the people most vulnerable to the virus and has already responded to more than 2.5 million people since its launch in March.
