The companies are working on the first collections of an egalitarian language application manual.
Language has a close relationship with our thinking, creates imaginaries and reflects the society in which we live, which is why it is constantly evolving. Historically, acquired linguistic habits have made women invisible, especially in economic and business language. A correct use of language promotes equality among all people and makes the role of women professionals more visible.
For years there has been a proliferation of non-sexist language guides in different areas, especially in public administration, but the TEMA LITOCLEAN Group believes that an application manual is needed to help companies to adapt their documentation and communications in an agile and simple way, so it has decided to promote this project for the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce. The initiative is carried out within the framework of the ODEE (Observatori Dona Empresa i Economia) of the Chamber, of which Begoña Mundó, CEO of TEMA LITOCLEAN Group, is a board member.
In addition to developing the first collections of this manual with the help of experts in the field, companies will be the first to apply the recommendations and thus transform the use of the language both internally and externally, which will in turn serve to validate the usefulness of the manual.
