Bosch and Herrarte participate in a conference on remediation in remote areas

The event was attended by representatives of the Peruvian administration and leading companies in the sector.

Profonanpe, Remtech Europe and AESAS have organized the Remediation of Contaminated Sites by Hydrocarbons in Remote Areas, a conference in which different national and international specialists have exchanged experiences related to the remediation of environmental liabilities in remote areas, explaining the challenges faced and the technologies and experiences applicable to the reality of Peru.

Marçal Bosch, director of Litoclean, and Carlos Herrarte, project manager, participated in this meeting and shared a successful bioremediation project in an Amazon rainforest environment. In this work, an insitu remediation solution was implemented in a complex environment, especially in terms of logistics. In addition, the objectives were achieved in a record time of 11 months and a good relationship was established with the communities, which facilitated the development of the project.

In their presentation of the case, Herrarte and Bosch detailed the entire process from detection of the spill to certification of the scope of the remediation results.

For the two representatives of Litoclean, the conference was very interesting because it brought together in the same digital space representatives of the Peruvian administration and leading companies in the sector, which has contributed “to expand knowledge and possibilities for action in remote areas”.
